Już za trzy tygodnie rozpocznie się 7. Międzynarodowa Studencko-Doktorancka Konferencja Judaistyczna, która odbywa się w naszym Instytucie co dwa lata od 2005 r. Call for Papers 7th International Student Workshop Judaism and Jewish Studies in the Modern World: The Student Voice

Call for Papers 7th International Student Workshop Judaism and Jewish Studies in the Modern World: The Student Voice 7–9 October 2018, Palacký University Olomouc, Czech Republic Keynote Speaker: Prof. Michael L. Miller (Central European University, Budapest) Kurt and Ursula Schubert Centre of Jewish Studies at Palacký University Olomouc and Prague Centre for Jewish Studies, Faculty of Arts, Charles University, now invite applications for 7th international student workshop “Judaism and Jewish Studies in the Modern World: The Student Voice” which will be held at the Kurt and Ursula Schubert Centre of Jewish Studies in Olomouc on 7–9 October 2018. The aim of the workshop is to bring together graduate and excellent undergraduate students of Jewish studies from different universities and countries, to give them an opportunity to present their work and to develop their debating skills. Participants are expected to give a 20–25 minute paper presenting their research. The paper will be followed by a comment from a senior scholar and open discussion. The presentations will be circulated in advance and may be based on expanded seminar papers, theses or their drafts. All topics connected to Jewish history, literature, and culture are welcome. This year we particularly encourage presentations touching on different aspects of rural and small-town Jewry in Central  Europe. Participation in the workshop is free of charge. Accommodation in student dormitories will be provided by the organizers. A limited number of travel stipends is available. The number of participants is limited; candidates will be selected on a competitive basis. The workshop will be held in English. Applications including the title of the proposed paper, an abstract (no longer than 200 words), and a short curriculum vitae should be sent to lenka.ulicna@upol.cz by 30 June 2018.
